Love, I feel it in my hands, I can tell by the things I could do with another man.
I was embarrassingly old when I figured out nobody would be singing that in the 1970s and looked up the name of the song.

This is going to sound silly but Kushiel’s Dart. I just want to see a world with absolutely no sexually transmitted diseases and a reverence for all sorts of sex.
Star Trek would also be heavenly.

The fuck? I got my job around that age. And we hired our temp who is at least 65. And a treasury manager over 60 too.
It’s harder, I’m sure. But 47 is absolutely NOT too old to change careers, that’s nonsense.

Depends, of course. I’m not personally wildly ambitious about work so that would be fine with me. If no raise though, that money will not be enough in 15 years. So it would need to come with raises to meet inflation at least.
Retirement at 62 would be a big upgrade from what I expect to be able to do, but I did raise a lot of kids.

I don’t love big shows but there are some concerts I missed at the Ritz here, that I would have liked to be at.
Kinky, I missed that one because it was my kid’s favorite band and I didn’t know it was an all ages show. Lady Gaga, and Nine Inch Nails I am so sorry I didn’t get to see them at the small venue on their way up.
Those stadium and arena shows, nope, none of them. My mom saw Elvis in a school basketball gym - I always thought that was cool.

I did see Nirvana on their first tour when they made it all the way down here. It was a good time but I don’t really remember it as transcendent. There were fewer than 50 people there! In a local bar. I did get to meet them, they came all the way across the country in a little white van.
Elvis Costello Welcome to the Working Week
Pink Floyd Another brick in the wall
Evanescence Bring me to life
A dance version:
Belle and Sebastian The Party Line
Scissor Sisters I don’t feel like dancing
Wham! Wake me up before you go go
ETA, if you are desperate, use the song the Feds did to try to drive the cultists out at Waco TX:
Achey Breaky Heart
Achey Breaky Heart
Achey Breaky Heart
My favorite song to gently wake up is Hammock, Ten Thousand Years Won’t Save Your Life - but the reason it’s so good is because it is good to hear while I am sleeping, so not a good alarm. But so nice to hear while laying in bed.
