As awful as Rimworld can be, there’s also some amazing tech that would be great to have. Sure 99% of the planet is some combination of nuclear wasteland, cannibals, Eldritch terrors, ravenous marauding insect swarms and capricious machine god puppets, but my colony is a paradise bastion where each colonist is perfected, given only the taks that fulfill them most, and catered to every need and desire in utmost luxury. Except body purists, but fuck those guys some people simply refuse to be happy.

I feel like I’d totally die of an infected papercut or get mauled by a pack of rampaging Labradors on the Rim, but in the meantime I volunteer for crafting/ research duty!

So long as it’s post-show, I would have basically zero qualms living in the Summer Camp Island universe. No spoilers as to why.

I also wouldn’t mind living in the Legend of Hei universe if I was a spirit. The caveat being I am some animal spirit. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t like it as much. Being a human looking spirit or like that one weird looking blue guy whose cave was turned into a tourist attraction would be kinda mid for me.

Then again, I see no reason why I wouldn’t love to be in a peaceful enough looking universe as Angry Beavers ( but only if I were a beaver or otter ).

Similar thing with Tiny Toon Adventures. Seems like a fine enough fictional world to live in and, if I’m lucky, I think I’d fit in at Acme Looniversity, if I was an animal toon young enough to attend instead of being my current age. Would be kinda creepy for me to be mg current age and attending that school as a student…

Although, I think I wouldn’t mind being my main Toontown character… so long as tge world isn’t as small as the game is. If it were an actual fleshed out world, you bet your jellybeans that I would be off fighting cogs!

Yeah, so I am gonna stop here because there are a TON of different cartoon/cartoon adjacent/animated universes I wouldn’t mind living in.

Very few of them, which annoys me. 90% of fictional universes are dystopian, on the edge of collapse, and only savable by a smaller group.

The Trails games kind of stood out for having a world that’s usually on pace, and isn’t even aware of whatever sinister plot your detectives/adventurers are looking into.

Frankly, any cozy-game universe would probably be perfect. Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Disney Dreamlight Valley. Even if I end up bored of all the happiness, I can go villain then later have a redemption arc.

    Less well known but,

Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers or

The nine worlds of The Hands of the Emporer by Victoria Goddard

nice people doing the best they can, in a world that isn’t like our current dystopia

Whichever universe food commercials take place in. Soon as someone says their hungry the most beautiful food appears instantly but somehow no one ever gets fat. I know that IRL those commercials use paint, woodchips and all sort of nasty stuff to get it looking like that, but IN UNIVERSE everyone loves it. I wanna live there.

The world of Shrek has tons of cool magic in it, sign me up! But also most cartoon/animation worlds, where you can survive all sorts of physical shenanigans with no injuries or consequences.

Just like Mona Lisa, a manga (soon to be anime) where people are born genderless and at 12, they choose which puberty to go through.

Yes I’m trans, why do you ask? 😆 And this whole manga’s concept is making me really dysphoric 😭

    Culture. No question.

Wouldn’t mind a lift, if the good ship Arbitrary is listening.
